Alternative Programmes Call for Volunteers

The Educational Programmes Committee (EPC) is looking for talented volunteers to support the development and implementation our new alternative programmes. To ensure that CISV continues to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world during a global pandemic, the EPC has developed 6 alternative programmes to not only address our immediate needs for programme alternatives, but to also develop online learning experiences that we can implement long term.

We believe that these alternatives increase our impact and accessibility by:

  • Having more diverse opportunities for engagement
  • Creating accessibility to programmes that may have not have been accessible to underrepresented groups and communities.
  • Encouraging year-round engagement and innovative opportunities for partnerships and community engagement
  • Diversifying CISV International’s revenue stream

The EPC has created a Project Implementation Team that is responsible for overseeing the successful development and implementation of CISV’s proposed alternative programmes.  Each alterative programme will be developed and implemented by a working group that is led by a member of the EPC.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for three of the six programmes to begin work immediately. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews will take place as soon as possible in order to have these first three alternative programmes available during the June-August programme season.

Please note that due to the relative urgency of these tasks, as an exception, we are adopting a different process to the standard recruitment process of CISV International.

Interested volunteers,  please complete and submit your Volunteer Position Application Form to educational-programmes@cisv.org  with Attn: Alternative Programmes.
