Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? Do you have a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion? CISV International is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a global organization committed to promoting equality and social justice. Term: 1 or 2 years, depending on your availability.

Scope of Work:
  • Design, implement, and manage the DEIB Strategy for CISV International.
  • Liaise with different groups within CISV International to build DEIB competencies.
  • Finalize and socialize the DEIB Needs Assessment.
  • Act as a DEIB advocate and champion for members of CISV International.
    Key competencies we are looking for:
  • Professional and academic experiences in diversity, equity, social justice, and inclusion.
  • Experience in project management and implementation, preferably for a multicultural audience.
  • Experience in community development or organizing, preferably for diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion frameworks, and awareness of how they manifest in CISV.
  • Ability to function effectively across cultures, including but not limited to self-awareness, continuous learning, and empathy.

    Workload Expectations:

    Approximately 10 working hours per month, including 2 meetings.

    Member Support Coordinator

    We are currently recruiting for a fourth Member Support Coordinator for the EMEA region. Member Support Coordinators are a pivotal link between NAs (and their Chapters) and CISV International. They are the first point of contact for an NA (National Association) and able to provide support, advice, and guidance on a wide range of topics. As the single point of contact for an NA, Member Support Coordinators are generalists who have a solid understanding of CISV at local, national, and international levels and therefore able to support NAs with most questions.
