Are you a strong communicator and able to easily build relationships with a wide range of people? Do you have experience managing and working with volunteers? Are you organised and have proven ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time? Do you have a passion for the mission of CISV?
CISV International is looking to appoint our first Regional Manager as part of a longer-term strategy to move towards paid roles in our regions. Initially, we are looking to recruit one full-time Regional Manager (or two part-time positions depending on the interest received) who can help support all three regions. As our international programmes resume over the coming months and years, we aim to have one Regional Manager for each CISV region (Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific). This initial post is being recruited in light of the maternity leave of our Chief Operating Officer (COO) until June 2022 but the position will remain following the COOs return.
This role can be based anywhere in the world where we have a National or Promotional Association.
The Regional Manager is a pivotal link between our regions (Associations in each country and their local Chapters) and CISV International. They will be responsible for ensuring our Members are supported adequately by CISV International, particular as we rebuild over the coming years. To do this, they coordinate a volunteer Regional Team to effectively provide guidance and support to the Members. They will also be responsible for ensuring that Members are consistently complying with CISV International policies and rules. To do this, they work together with the relevant areas of CISV International to monitor compliance and provide support when issues occur.
The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring the region delivers CISVs mission and develops in line with the vision. To do this, they have the discretion to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop regional strategies to meet the needs of our Members in their region (Associations in each country) and deliver the mission in the most effective way.
Experience in organisational development, particularly in the not-for-profit and/or youth sector is beneficial. Also, an understand and experience of working in a federated structure would also be advantageous. Candidates with a good knowledge of CISV, our policies, procedures and guides, our international structure, and developing and running a local Chapters or Association, would be ideal but not essential.
