Simon Clear
Projects and Administration Officer

I am an administrator with around 10 years of experience in the charity, arts and healthcare sectors. I grew up in the North West of England, near Manchester, lived in London for 10 years and now live in Malmö, Sweden.

As Projects and Administration Officer, I support the Senior Management Team with impactful projects to improve the work of CISV International, and help to maintain our digital infrastructure. Some of my main skills are setting up user-friendly systems and documents, human resources administration and working with collaboration apps and tools.

I can help CISVers with understanding the structure of CISV International, how their knowledge can help CISV and how to use our resources to do their work.

I joined CISV International because it has always been important to me to work for organisations that I believe in. I believe in the mission of inspiring action for a more just and peaceful world, and love the care and dedication that CISVers bring to their work. I was never a CISV participant as a young person, but was part of other international exchange programmes that took me to Romania and Belgium. These were such an important and valuable part of my own life and education, and I really believe in the value of offering young people chances for international exchange.

In my spare time, I’m a keen indoor climber and love to play music and games. Right now, I’m learning to play the piano.
