Communications and Outreach Committee ┃Deadline: 10 May, 2025

As a member of the Communications and Outreach Committee, you will be responsible for developing and executing a world-class communications strategy, leveraging innovative techniques and tools to enhance CISV's visibility and impact. You will drive efforts to maximise engagement, awareness, and support for CISV's mission through highly relevant, timely, and impactful communications across various channels.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Individuals with strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Experience in business development, partner relationships, marketing, or sales.
  • Understanding of leisure or educational travel and summer camp trends.
  • Expertise in fostering local community relationships and building media connections.
  • Experience in Association and/or Chapter work in CISV or other international education organisations.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Drive brand awareness and build its reputation among key audiences and stakeholders.
  2. Test out new communication strategies to increase visibility and engagement.
  3. Collaborate with local leadership and international teams to present partnership presentations and concept notes.
  4. Identify relevant strategic events or conferences around the world and help secure speaking opportunities for CISV International to promote its mission.

Commitment:

  • Term: Volunteer committee members serve for 3 years, with the option to renew for a second term.
  • Meetings: 1-2 virtual meetings per month, plus 4-8 hours of work outside meetings.
  • Collaboration: Work asynchronously and participate in virtual meetings, with occasional in-person meetings involving travel.

The Education and Research Committee is looking for members to join and support further development of the CISV peace education offer.

Are you an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting a global organisation to further develop our peace education offer? Do you have experience in creating educational curricula and conveying education via multiple approaches? Are you able to assess the impact of education on participants and adjust learning accordingly?

Training Committee ┃Deadline: 31 May, 2025

We are currently recruiting individuals to join the Training Committee. The Training Committee is responsible for supporting and developing CISV International’s training, learning and development recommendations identified in the Training Strategy approved by the board at the end of 2023.

Committee meetings occur monthly for 90 minutes, and members are expected to contribute to project work which will involve small group work, independent activities, and virtual meetings as needed. Total time commitment is 6-12 hours per month depending on projects.

A passion to support learning is essential! Knowledge and experience in the areas of teaching and learning, applied and experiential learning, instructional design, and online/virtual learning technology (Moodle, Articulate) would be beneficial.

As a Content Creator you will be responsible for supporting the production and gathering of CISV’s mission-driven content. Our goal is to get better at how we show what we do. You will support CISV’s communication efforts with your knowledge.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Some knowledge creating content from photo to video, podcasts or graphic design.
  • Be informed in the concept of storytelling.
  • A desire to create content-leading work.
  • Awareness of trends and social media.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Conceptualise and produce engaging assets ranging from photos, reels, graphic design (varying on your expertise).
  2. Support in capturing stories across our Community of participants, parents, volunteers, and more.

Data Team ┃Deadline: 30 May, 2025

This is a great opportunity for volunteers interested in data analysis and visualisation.

As a member of the Data Team, you will be volunteering and supporting the work of Committees, Strategic Project Teams, and the International Office to design data gathering mechanisms and analyse results. You will support CISV International during consultation periods, impact reporting, and defining metrics that help the organisation make better decisions and showcase our impact.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Technologists and problem solvers with experience in data management and data visualisation.
  • Understanding the ethical implications of data collection, storage, and usage.
  • Those with a strong desire to explore and understand data deeply, and a willingness to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Designing Data Gathering Mechanisms:
    • Engage in research, draft and review documents, and work with stakeholders to develop and implement effective data gathering strategies.
    • Understand and meet the data needs of our committees, strategic project teams, and departments.
  2. Analysing and Visualising Data:
    • Perform statistical analysis to extract insights and create impactful visualisations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
    • Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Supporting Understanding of Results:
    • Convert complex data issues into actionable plans.
    • Stay updated on data science advancements and apply best practices.
    • Provide accurate data analysis for consultation periods and impact reports.

Commitment:

Members will work independently joining different projects and teams for short periods of times, joining occasional meetings, and working asynchronously. Together they will work directly with the Communications Team at CISV International.

Financial Recovery Team ┃Deadline: 15 May, 2025

Why This Role Matters:

The Financial Recovery Team will support global initiatives aimed at strengthening the organisation’s financial sustainability. By assisting with fundraising campaigns, operational improvements, and capacity-building projects, volunteers will play a crucial role in ensuring CISV can continue its mission to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of fundraising campaigns, including the CISV Annual Giving Campaign and Crowdfunding initiatives.
  • Support the development of donor engagement strategies to ensure successful fundraising outcomes.
  • Analyse impact data and provide evidence-based insights to strengthen donation campaigns and fundraising capacity.
  • Organise and follow up on project tasks, ensuring timely progress and completion.
  • Assist with capacity-building initiatives, including training programs aimed at enhancing CISV's fundraising skills and self-sufficiency.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Individuals with strong project management and organisational skills.

As a Translator you will contribute to making our guides and information more accessible!

With your advanced knowledge in English and your native language, you will help us translating our official documents and in occasions interpreting online webinars and meetings for our non-native English-speaking members. You will support CISV’s internal communication efforts with your knowledge.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Excellent vocabulary and solid understanding of grammar in both languages.
  • Advance English knowledge and in (at least) one additional language.
  • Be informed on our programmes and basic understanding of CISV's approach to peace education.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Translate our official documents into different languages to ensure that the content is maintained and articulated professionally.
  2. Support special events such as townhalls, general meetings, and other key online activities with live language interpretation from English to another language and vice-versa.
