Ahead of our main programme season of 2024

Dear CISVers,

As we prepare to kick-off our biggest programme season with a Youth Meeting hosted by CISV India on 10 June 2024. I want to take a moment to thank each person who has a part in making a programme a reality this year. While this is not our first season of 2024, we are now ready to mobilize thousands of volunteers and participants across 166 Chapters. Whether you are a parent entrusting your child to us, a support staff maybe cooking over a weekend, or one of the many volunteers who will be dedicating their time immersed in our programme experience, first and foremost, thank you.

The past 12 months have been filled with change and growth for all of us. Most importantly we recognised the need we had as an organization to stop to reflect, analyse, and begin to apply new knowledge for how we continue improve our peace education programmes.

1. We’ve hyper-focused on providing resources and guidance to ensure the safety of every Child and Adult-volunteer in our care, and this will continue.
2. We’ve worked to support regional growth with a staff structure dedicated to providing support to our regions.
3. And we continue to learn from the voices that keep vocalising what the organisation needs to hear.

Over the next three months we will be hosting 109 programmes that will impact 3,945 participants for their lifetime. .

Our team at CISV International is here to help us all ensure we continue to impact children and volunteers and make this experience a safe, positive, fun and above all a memorable one for all involved.

It is my hope we use this season to raise awareness of the many ways CISV can impact our communities directly and the opportunities available to support. A season that reminds us that at the centre of everything we do, is our founder’s belief that by creating opportunities for children of different cultures—to come together to learn and make friends—they would grow up to become ambassadors for a more just and peaceful world.
