CISV International is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a global organization committed to promoting equality and social justice. Term: 1 or 2 years, depending on your availability.
Scope of Work:
- Design, implement, and manage the DEIB Strategy for CISV International.
- Liaise with different groups within CISV International to build DEIB competencies.
- Finalize and socialize the DEIB Needs Assessment.
- Act as a DEIB advocate and champion for members of CISV International.
Key competencies we are looking for:
- Professional and academic experiences in diversity, equity, social justice, and inclusion.
- Experience in project management and implementation, preferably for a multicultural audience.
- Experience in community development or organizing, preferably for diverse groups.
- Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion frameworks, and awareness of how they manifest in CISV.
- Ability to function effectively across cultures, including but not limited to self-awareness, continuous learning, and empathy.
Workload Expectations:
Approximately 10 working hours per month, including 2 meetings.
